My old TLS piece on Giorgio Agamben & Benedict XVI, in which a young Joseph Ratzinger argues that the Church is a “bipartite body” (corpus bipartitum), at once “dark and beautiful” (fusca et decora), & is quoted as having said: “The Antichrist belongs to the Church.”
